Barracuda

Barracudas are primarily fish eaters of smaller fishes, such as mullets, anchovies, and grunts. They are good, fighting sporting fishes, and the smaller ones make good eating. In certain seas, however, lately increasingly they may become impregnated with a toxic substance that produces a form of poisoning known as ciguatera.

Barracudas are shark like fish that will eat other small fish. They are known for there fast swimming and sharp teeth.

There are 20 species of barracudas worldwide. Five species live off the Atlantic coast of North America, one off the Pacific coast, and two in waters off Hawaii. The great barracuda, found in the Atlantic, Indian, and western Pacific oceans, is the largest species of barracuda. It can grow to about 6 feet (1.8 meters) and 100 pounds (45 kilograms). The great barracuda is called the "tiger of the sea" because it is swift and destructive.
